The crispness of apples pairs well well with the soft juiciness of plums, apricots or peaches.
For the fruit base:
3 medium apples
4 plums (or 3 apricots or 2 peaches)
Cinnamon, to taste
For the crumble topping:
2/3 cup rolled oats
2/3 cups ground hazelnuts (or ground almonds)
1/3 cup peanut butter (or almond butter or hazelnut butter)
a pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F)
Prepare the fruit:
In a bowl (or directly in the baking dish like I did), mix the apple and plum slices with cinnamon
Spread evenly in a small baking dish
Make the crumble topping:
In another bowl, combine oats, ground hazelnuts, and salt
Add in the peanut butter and mix with a fork or your fingers until crumbly
Assemble:
Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the fruit
Bake:
Bake for 35 minutes, until the top is golden and the fruit is soft and bubbling
Cool slightly before serving.
Mix the cut apples, plums and cinnamon
In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: oats, ground hazelnuts, and salt
Add in the peanut butter
Mix well
Cover the fruit base with the mixture
